- Postgraduate Diploma holders may proceed to undertake a one-year individual research project on a part-time basis.
- Completion of the research project leads to the award of the Master of Science degree.

- Membership in a recognized professional institute obtained through an academic route, with a minimum of one year recognized appropriate experience after obtaining the membership (recommended by Faculty and approved by Senate).
