The University of Colombo, Sri Lanka, is inviting applications for the following positions in the Department of Pathology, Faculty of Medicine:

1. Lecturer (Probationary)
2. Lecturer (Unconfirmed)
3. Senior Lecturer Grade II
4. Senior Lecturer Grade I

Here are the educational qualifications and requirements for each position:

Lecturer (Probationary):

• MBBS Degree with First or Second Class (Upper Division) Honours
  OR
  MBBS Degree with Second Class (Lower Division) Honours
  OR
  MBBS Degree and a Doctoral Degree/Master’s Degree in the relevant field
  OR
  Academic or professional qualifications approved by the University Grants Commission
• Preference given to candidates in the MD Histopathology training program at the Postgraduate Institute of Medicine, University of Colombo

Lecturer (Unconfirmed):

• Same educational qualifications as Lecturer (Probationary)
• MD/MS and awaiting Board Certification from the Postgraduate Institute of Medicine (PGIM)
  OR
  Doctoral Degree in the relevant field
  OR
  Master’s Degree in the relevant field
• Less than six years of experience in teaching, professional work, research, or postgraduate studies

Senior Lecturer Grade II:

• Same educational qualifications as Lecturer (Probationary)
• MD/MS and Board Certification from the PGIM
  OR
  Doctoral Degree in the relevant field
  OR
  Master’s Degree in the relevant field
• At least six years of experience in teaching, professional work, research, or postgraduate studies
• Preference given to candidates Board Certified as Consultant Histopathologists by the PGIM

Senior Lecturer Grade I:

• Same educational qualifications as Lecturer (Probationary)
• MD/MS and Board Certification from the PGIM
  OR
  Doctoral Degree in the relevant field
  OR
  Master’s Degree in the relevant field
• At least eleven years of experience (with at least six years after obtaining the qualifications) in teaching, professional work, research, or postgraduate studies
• Preference given to candidates Board Certified as Consultant Histopathologists by the PGIM
